Favourite First Watches of January ‘24

When the year started I told myself that I would take a step back from the pressure I put on myself last year to watch at least one film a day. Having started that in 2024, I have enjoyed films a lot more (and had time to watch some TV episodes). That being said, I still watched 43 films in January. As the University season is winding to a close for my film module, I had a few I had to watch for class, and with Academy Award nominees announced, I have been trying to catch up and watch them all before the ceremony later in March. January was a satisfying month, having watched most of these in cinemas, these are my twelve favourite first watches from January 2024.
